I installed an nLited version of XP Home on my Eee 701 4G, which I upgraded to 1GB of RAM (cost $20). It runs fine. No driver problems, it’s not slow, and I don’t have problems running any of my programs. The Eee is fully functional with Windows.
Most programs are written for Windows, so your compatibility with Linux will be decreased. However, the Eee PC is practically useless with Windows – slow as hell, unless all you’re doing is typing up personal memos.
