The SSD memory is not removable in the 7-inch models. I’m pretty sure the 9-inch models use a removable module, but those modules aren’t available to consumers, so you can’t just go out and buy a bigger one. Also, some models have a removable module in addition to soldered modules. As for changing a processor in a laptop, that’s a bad idea in my opinion. If you’re gonna do all this stuff to the Eee, why not buy something that has what you want to begin with?
As for KDE desktop, you can definitely use it on the Eee.
hi K, you can do anything you want with your computer but then again you can break it where it cannot be fixed first of all i don’t advise it cause you can corrupt your system real bad. if i was that determined to do something as drastic as you are talking about i would highly recommend that you take it to a computer repairmanand tell him what you are wanting to do so he can talk you out of it. i am the man to ask firsy your processer is a bunch of teeth or chips so yeah you can take it out and hold it in your hand but if it is not installed the way you took it out your computer will not work. then your computer has to have the drivers to run your asus eee pc kde. but i will tell you how fexable i am by saying build another computer of your own with your own specs in it and if it works then who knows you might make a million dollars manufacturing these kind of system but i would keep your computer whole so if you need some information you have it. good luck hope i was helpful to you
