I recommend the 1000HE to everyone I know who needs a netbook. It’s really a great system and I think you’d enjoy it.
ASUS made quite a few small changes on the 1000HE to fix problems in previous models, such as the chiclet keyboard to stop the infamous double-key-press that plagues their previous models, and changed the placement of the right shift key so it’s easier to press as well.
There are other ASUS netbooks with better battery life (like the Seashell) but also with a weaker processor. Stick with the 1000HE.
