I am interested in getting an Asus EEE PC, so I looked for information on it. I was crushed by the fact that there is no CD Drive, so I was wondering if there is any way to play CD-ROM Games on an Asus, except for an external CD Drive
Yes, it is. Its more work, and requires a transfer method, a computer with a cd drive, and disk imaging software.
What you do, is put it in the computer with a cd drive, and then use software to make a disk image. My favorite software is alcohol 120%. Then you find a way to put this file on your laptop. You can use a network, external hard drive, large flash drive, etc. Then you mount the image on your laptop, and if everything goes right, your computer won’t know the difference.
Well, you will need an external hard drive, but you can make a iso of the game and save it to the computer so you dont have to carry around the external cd drive
