How To Turn On An Asus Eee Pc 701 Webcam?

i have a white asus eee pc with built in webcam but i can’t figure out how to turn it on any help

Ermmm… ive same prob like you last time…i dont know how to explain…well u need to press F2 while ur com first start screen & u will get into commans…do a bit explore…. enable the webcam in there & exit save….hope its help:)

“Webcam – The driver for the built-in webcam for the Eee PC 900 series is installed with Fedora 9, you just have to load it”.
Do you know if your 701’s webcam needs to have a driver loaded ?

We were able to record footage from within the webcam app, but couldn’t get it to work with either the preloaded Skype program or Pidgin instant messaging program, and with good reason: Asus is still working on drivers for the webcam, which it says will be released early next year”.
Do you turn it on from the Play menu ?

Out of the box, the EEE PC comes with version 1.4 of Skype. While it works fine, it doesn’t work with the built-in webcam on the EEE PC. To get that working, you need to install the version 2.0 beta.
