I Can’t Get An Asus Eee Pc Into My Wireless Network!!!?
I’ve been trying to connect my Asus Eee PC into my secured wireless network. My router is a D-Link DIR-300 Wirless G Router. I also have WPA/WPA2 as an encryption method.
But I failed. After I type the network key, Eee PC will have it pending instead of connecting.
But before, when my network wasn’t secured, it can enter.
Any ideas?
Chances are because of the long secure password, you have missed typed the key. I would recommend that you log into your router, copy and paste the key into note pad and transfer it to your Asus via a flash drive.
If your are using any flavor of Linux – I have seen connection problems using WEP2 as well. I solved that problem with my friend and his Asus eee running Ubuntu by eliminating the WEP key and setting up MAC filtering on my router (Linksys).
Reset factory settings by holding down f9 during the startup process
Press F9 during boot up and choose the “reinstall” option
Try telling it the encryption is WEP. Sounds stupid, but I’ve known it to work.
