  1. I love my Asus EEE
However, it makes a better companion computer than a regular computer.
Use the regular computer when you want a full sized keyboard or full sized screen. Use the regular computer to download things
Use the EEE when you want to take those movies on the go, or when you want to type a letter away from home.
If it is only for internet then the EEE is great if you couple it with an external monitor and keyboard when you are at home. Otherwise I would stick with two computers myself.

  2. Yes, it could be worth it, but there’s a few things to keep in mind first. Firstly, the screen size is only 7 inches. This is important because you’ll be surfing the net on a screen the size of a portable DVD player. This is quite small and will make the text appear miniscule unless you zoom the page; however, you could still connect it to an external monitor via the VGA port to increase the screen size. Also, the Asus used SSD memory instead of a hard drive. For ths reason, it only comes with either 4gb or 8gb of memory. This isn’t much if you decide to store many files or add additional programs to it. Other than this, the only main difference you may have to cope with is that the Asus uses Linux instead of Windows for its operating system. This could take some getting use to, if you’ve never used Linux before.
Overall, if you’re willing to cope with the screen size and the Linux operating system, then I say go for it. The Eee Pc is definitely a nice, compact computer and would be great for casual internet browsing.
