A friend of mine told me that we have to pay annually to use the programs of the Apple MacBook, if i didn’t hear wrongly. Is this true?

Its free ( other than the cost of buying the actual mac and internet )
Mobile me is a service which is 59 .99 a year to use, that syncs all your contacts , etc, but this is an optional service.
MobileMe is a yearly subscription but only if you want it, I don’t. Apple and 3rd party program upgrades do cost money but the updates don’t e.g. v5 – v5.8 are updates, v5 – v6 are upgrades. There are free useful programs for OS X that one doesn’t need to pay for, even upgrades to them.
That is wrong – but you do pay annually if you sign up to MobileMe which is the old .Mac ?? It is £59per year in the UK and syncs your contacts, mail, calendar to the web along with 10GB online storage and a webpage!?
You heard it wrongly – this is not true. Although certain programs may require a yearly subscription (such as antivirus software), not every program does so simple answer is still no.
You can get antivirus and firewall for free.
The only thing that costs is if you use the online Mobile Me service for email and web presence as well as syncing multiple Apple devices, calendars etc.
You don’t have to sign-up for this service.
I think your friend is having a lend of u. never have i heard of it…. Just to make sure go to the web site. I know if U email them they will either have a good laught or send u a Bill.

no because if you had no internet, they wouldnt be able to make you pay. Its all free to use, except buying software such as ilife etc.
