Should I Buy The Asus Eee Pc 4gb Or 4gb Surf?
Looking to buy one of these really soon 
i like the idea of having webcam and the ability to take videos and pictures. i also heard that the ram is not upgradeable on the 4 gb surf that also may be a factor. But is it really worth it to spend the extra 50$ plus tax for a webcam and upgrade ram door? Also is there a speed difference?
Why in gods name will any 1 want to buy a 4gb computer come on man…thats like getin into a plain that dont fly
I would say no, do not bother with the regular 4gb vs the surf.
I have the 4GB model and love it, but I never use the webcam. You can always buy a USB webcam down the road later (saw them on sale recently for $10) and as for removing the memory for more later on–it is nice, but not really necessary.
512MB is fine for Windows XP and linux and any program that must have more really is probably more than you would want on an EEE. Save your $50 and get a big SD card so you can have extra storage space (which is a necessity for the EEE).
As for speed difference, no, they all use the same processor. A few models have an extended life battery but I think the 4GB and 4GB surf use the same battery. Might want to check that though as the extended life battery is worth the upgrade.
