Should i go for the 999 macbook and then upgrade the memory and hard drive?

i keep my computer in great condition. no limewire. i clean my downloads. everythings in files. its perfect. but whenever i try to start a file transfer on Ichat, it locks up and just completely quits the program. any suggestions?

Why is it better than other laptops?
Why is it so much more expensive compared to most Laptops?

I want to get the best laptop I possibly can, but am unsure as to which one to get. I’ve heard people rave about the Apple Macbook, but want details.

I’ve recently been debating about what netbook I should get for myself. I want either an 8.9″ screen, or a 10″ screen. I can’t decide which company makes better ones, because both netbooks have good reviews and good features. Please give your opinions!

I love to listen to music on my PC, I don’t really play games but the notebooks out there are all so expensive. How I can choose wisely and have the (almost) flawless notebook/netbook out there?
The laptop (or whichever name you wish to call) must have good battery life, fast processor, don’t heat up quickly and all that a laptop must have.
