i want to connect my macbook in order to watch movies i have saved on my macbook and watch them on my tv. it is an lg lcd tv with hd. suggestions of cables etc required

Ive just brought a Asus Eee Pc and cant get it too connect to the internet wirelessly. I have a linksys router and i think this is what is causing the trouble, but am not sure. Other 2 computers work fine and have also used it with my nintendo ds and wii with no problems. Any suggestions<
