Acer Aspire 7720-6307 17.0" Laptop (T5450 Intel Core2 Duo mobile processor (1.66Ghz, 2GB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium)
Acer AS6920-6621 16-inch Laptop (1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T5550 Processor, 3 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)I love gadgets. I am dependent on them, and if I find something I like then I feel a huge need to go and buy immediately see.
Are you looking for a PC magazine recently I came across the EeePC by Asus – looking at the pictures I saw something I had wanted for some time. A small portable PC, a cheap price tag, seemingly designed specifically for the Internet, on the top.
The EeePC is pronounced e-PC – you must rest for three easy steps – easy to learn, easy to use and easy to play. I think the original idea was something more accessible to many people, including students and families.
As for me, it was clear the device for portability. 225 x 165 x 21 mm measurement is small compared to all other laptops. Has a solid state drive, is quite robust in the fact you can knock it, and bang, no damage to it. Three hours of battery life and size makes it very portable cell phone charger.
Of course, as with any relatively new gadget, the demand is high and get my hands on it was pretty difficult. They come in different colors. My preference is black, and I think it was the same for most people, as has been sold out. In the end I decided to blue.
After pressing the power button, the wait time is minimal. I would say that about 20 to 30 seconds. It 'funny how the car is quiet to boot. You kind of expect to hear that the hard drives spin and the fan goes. A look at the 7-inch screen is surprisingly easy, although I think it might be annoying depending on what you want to achieve. However, so far only for MSN, e-mail and surf the Internet, it is absolutely fine.
More surprising is the keyboard. Of course it is relatively small, but it is easy to type. I think that after you put a small amount of adaptation should be relatively simple. OK, you do not want to give a full-length novel about her, but e-mail, blogs, short articles, etc. – absolutely fine.
Although it is difficult to think of this little device so that this machine is a fully functional PC. This means that it can not and does not change the fact that one to a regular PC. It comes with a Linux system on it. Source is open and then with a few minor changes, there are literally thousands of free applications that will run on it. The main screen is too obvious, so go around the icons, such as "Internet Messenger" or "e-mail" or " 'so really not a technician, your way around the scroll work. That said, if the machine is powerful enough to run XP, you will be required.
With built-in Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet is easy. A webcam, microphone and speakers to allow easy communication. They also have USB ports and a flash memory slot allows for additional 32GB of space on the 4GB included within the machine. To me, this means I can take the car and take in places not connected to a wireless network, I can connect using my 3G data card. This means that I can be on the Internet, without somewhere, what we now consider that a bulky item like a laptop. This is also suitable in the glove compartment of your car or purse!
While the opening of the EeePC invalidate the warranty – the system is expandable. There are many changes or updates that you can do for your Eeepc unique and super fast. Because the software is open source, can be changed virtually everything you need.
I think this car will be a great success and pave the way for true mobile computing. I just paid € 250 (about $ 500) for the 4GB model. It 'was a 2 GB model for 200 pounds and have voices that Asus has done, so that the speakers of a model of larger screen to appear in a short relocate heard.
SSD, Solid State Drive is a hard drive without moving parts. In a normal hard drive, there is a rotating disk spinning when in use.
Solid State Drive can be compared with a memory card in mobile phones, cameras and so on. N. moving parts, and that do not move it. The advantage of these hard disks is that they tolerate shock and rough treatment as a normal hard disk. Some of these dishes can read and write faster than normal rotating disks. This leads to a faster startup of your computer and the software is faster than normal hard drives.
Intel promises that in the next two years, a very fast SSD drive. The capasity is 80 to 160 GB and the price is half of what they are today. If this were the case, the SSD will be normal to see in any computer in the near future.
Intel Troy Winslow said that Intel is faster than disk CNET Samsung 128GB SATA II hard drive with fast read and write 100/80 MB per second.
When Intel launches its products, it is obvious that not all SSDs are in the same way, says Winslow.
Intel has already SSD hard drives on the market, however, the maximum storage capacity of 16 GB and the ability to read-write is very low on them.
Today is first of all computer professionals, SSD hard disk due to the relatively high price for that. If you are interested in buying the new Apple MacBook Air is the normal version with a hard drive from 80 GB costs about $ 3,100. If you do not want the 64 GB SSD hard drive, the price is about $ 5000. There is a difference of about $ 1,900 for the SSD version.
Several tests have shown that the performance is not significantly better with the SSD hard drive compared to the usual rotating disk, and have less storage capacity for a much larger sum of money.
The runaway success of iPhone in the world has revolutionalised the next generation of mobile phones. Before the debut of iPhone, Touch cell phones were at best a good feature to have. For example, resisitive screens have been phones with Windows Mobile, but was not the case. We would always prefer a physical keyboard and a stylus. Apple has changed the game when its first generation of iPhone 2G/Edge. We are awed by the ease of contact and the ease of zooming in and out of web pages by pinching and pan with your fingers. The capacitive touch-screen phones has led to a new level. (See here for more detailed information on how capactitive screen: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/iphone2.htm) Since then, we have seen a number of mobile phones to provide features such as touch and iPhone accelerometer. I said similar, not identical, because so far I have not test a phone with the same level of Finess in the hands and the ability to accelerometer (see my other post on the recent phone models). Storm and G1 are close to the iPhone competitors in this sense – that is not with many other features missing in the iPhone today – as a expandable slot, MMS, copy and paste function, to name a few). If you can remember, Samsung Omnia had some success, especially in countries where the iPhone 3G has been / will be over Omnia. Now almost all major manufacturers of mobile phones Nokia Sony Ericsson HTC Touch phones have their own series. I do not want too belabour on one of these phones, as this is not the intent of this post. I thought that the health of the market. We now have more possibilities. Apple has, in fact, a complete change in the competitive situation in just 2 short years. It has also passed the second place RIM in smartphone sales. Of course, now with Verizon Storm launch, we still have to see how this pan. iPhone is not just the phone. In fact, the iPhone brings with it an ecosystem – iTunes. If you're a BlackBerry user, especially if you have a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), business users who have applications to purchase and download on your BlackBerry. The reasons are twofold. First, the range of applications is limited, and some corporate policy can install third party applications. Secondly, applications are relatively expensive, say $ 10 or $ 20 or more. Third, the traditional BlackBerry on the phone is actually a core function – messaging. The same goes for Windows Mobile or Symbian Phones. To be honest, I must say that there are many Windows Mobile third applications, availabe. There is no shortage of applications. Then you might ask why not "appstore" concept, the central role in the past so many years ago that the availability of Windows Mobile Phones. Let's take a look back into the past. Windows Mobile has been an attempt by Microsoft to take away market share from RIM to extend their scope in a dominant position on the desktop PC market and Windows / Microsoft Outlook, mobile world. The whole "wow" factor of less than a Windows Mobile phone that was finally able to synchronize e-mail, appointments and contacts via the mobile network. The great "Push Email" capabilitiy was the reason people wanted to buy a Windows Mobile phone. Plus, the beginning of BlackBerry devices limited functions of the phone as the main objective was to messaging. Again, it was a real pain to read attachments on the BlackBerry. Windows Mobile, for the shortcomings in black. Not only I did not need an activation PIN / password that is on my BlackBerry (which differs from Outlook username / password and domain), I can simply set up my e-mail to Outlook on my Windows Mobile phone any time. Read the plant was much better on Windows Mobile. I could also buy third-party applications like Documents To Go For BlackBerry, while similar programs for the third reading, are available, usually on a subscription model (if you remember, you can not download and save attachments from an BlackBerry at the moment. You can only be opened). Fast forward to today. What Apple has done? When Apple launched the iPhone 2G, Apple is not dealing with business users. E 'avoided a head-on competition with both Windows Mobile and RIM. Instead, aim directly to the consumer. Apple to leverage its core products – the telephone, the wow factor of the form, people like an iMac or MacBook, and have positioned the phone as all-in-one for voice, video, photos and music. This is what Apple is good. Until then, iTunes is already widely used by Windows and Mac users and people are going to buy music and sync to iPod. Without doubt there is some cannibalization of the iPod, but the head was much bigger. Apple iPhone might be to make progress in the mobile world, and take a piece of the mobile market, the first 1.8 billion by the end of 2007 (estimate by the Yankee Group report). Apple has raised the ante in 2008 with the launch of iPhone 3G and this time, Apple has sent directly to the company through the possibility that Annoucing Exchange Push Mail. This is its addressable market to a certain "prosumer", which refers to two ideas about how to use the iPhone, due to the lack of Push Mail for Exchange. The most important thing is that the core of Apple's iPhone strategy is new in its content and the iTunes ecosystem. This time, the availability of iTunes appstore. Applications are available. Paid launch applications from a minimum of $ 0.99. This lowered the entry barriers for consumers to try different types of applications. I pay just under $ 5 for each application. Most of the requests were largely Games tools and utilities, but at first as more and more companies adopt the iPhone, we realize that more and more software developers are using mobile applications on the iPhone to their lists. I am sure that Apple could see a user loads more and more applications on the iPhone, it was less hesitant to another phone and lost all applications, was acquired with o. This is a very strong customer stickiness. RIM needs to be done, and therefore is luanching its first application to support the center of BlackBerry OS 4.7 (which is operation Storm). If you are a leaf strategy for Apple iPod, Apple does not rest on our laurels and to cede market share. Apple is the new firmware update for iPhone (Watch the time between the great firmware update 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 – which is always the shortest). We see in the coming months, up to the amount of heat. In the meantime, sit and stand up to the coming war Mobile. While the creation of social networks like MySpace, Facebook, Twitter was the first popular iPhone has been on the market by storm (see if BlackBerry Storm replicate this success), the iPhone has advertised this even more. Well, I not only my "chirping" or my Flickr, or Facebook with a simple button on the iPhone. The types of applications of social networking iPhone, especially Twitter, reflecting the trend. Now Sony Ericsson X1 has a new body to Facebook. Storm is also available with pre-installed application for Flickr and Facebook. Given the growing prevalence of social networking tools, I wonder why airlines (Telco Operator) are not to use this for their marketing or customer support. I think there are a lot of opportunity in Media Marketing, which the promoters are missing. I have not an institution that actively blog with Twitter or make news releases or product updates, or use of social networking events and product annoucements. In future, more applications on the phone and phone to the most important factor in creating customer stickiness. Air carriers should use this opportunity, in close collaboration with the handset manufacturers or independent software developers that some applications just for them. Should also be aware that customer service is beyond just the phone hardware itself, when the leaders really want is the first contact with customers. It is no longer enough for the shops that sell only phones. The carriers need to understand customer needs and the right kind of phone customers. This is true customer service.
