Start Up Problems With Asus Eee Pc Notebook?

i have a Asus Eee PC and when i start it up its fine but it hits a screen that say:
windows cou;d not start because the fallowing file is missing or corrupt:
/wondows/system32/config/system
i know i need the cd and i have it but not the cd drive to put it in so is there anyway i can use my desktop to transfer like 1 or to files on my usb and than install it from the usb
(and how do you boot from usb on this bios screen)
