I installed the Windows 7 Release Candidate on my ASUS Eee PC 1000HE netbook, and it’s been great. However, ASUS just came out with a new BIOS update, and to my knowledge, there isn’t an updater program that’s compatible with Windows 7 (or, for that matter, Vista).
I have the ROM file for the update on a USB flash drive. Should I make the drive bootable and use an old-fashioned DOS updater? Is there a way to update the BIOS from within the BIOS setup screens?
Thanks in advance!
I got a laptop (ASUS EEE PC) about 9 months ago, however it is running terribly and I don’t know why. How can I restore it to how it was when I purchased the product? I basically want to wipe the hard drive, and just have Windows XP and internet explorer on there. I have very little computer knowledge, but I know enough that i can uninstall / install where necessary. Likewise, I have no idea what it means to ‘flash’ a PC.
The laptop is this one…

i just got my asus eee pc 2 weeks ago, and i’m a little upset about the fact that it’s operating on linux. i’ve been using meebo instead of pidgin, which linux comes with, but with meebo, i cant have video calls or anything or utilize my webcam so it feels like a waste. is there any way i can download windows live messenger or anything like it to my asus eee pc? or a way that i can do video calls?? its really frustrating..

i just got an Asus EEE PC 900HD (with Windows XP) with a built in webcam, but it doesn’t come with any camera software pre-downloaded, so i downloaded Yawcam to use the camera through, but it does a LOT more than i need… i just want a basic, simple program that will allow me to take still pictures and also do videos. i’ve scoured the internet and haven’t been able to find ANYTHING to download that has what i need! it’s driving me crazy! so does anyone have any suggestions for a (free!) “beginner’s” webcam application? THANK YOU! (:

I know call of duty one and gta san andreas work on it. I have a tower comp and I am going to backup the pc games using daemon tools lite (right?). Then I put the .iso file on a flash drive, into the eeepc and just double click it? Am I good to go?
