What’s The Largest Monitor I Can Connect To A Apple Macbook 2ghz Model?

I want to order one for use with my music software because my current 17 is not big enough for the kind of editing I do but with this monitor there are 2 horizontal black margins on the top and bottom of the screen. If I set the screen to another resolution so they disappear the screen looks wierd.
I want to not make the mistake of buying the bigger screen for nothing. I really like using my macbook with xp. It is stable and I get the best of both worlds but if I wont be able to use a big apple monitor with it then then I will have to search for a another powerful laptop that I can connect a big monitor to.

  1. Two ideas,
    1. If you have a HD TV, try using that to see how it appears. Plasma TV’s are capable of being used as a montitor.
    2. If you are not against the idea, use 2 monitors. Many music engineers use two montiros side by side for the ability to place files to one monitir wile using the other for the program you are running. If you do not have the ability to add two monitors (your PC has only one connection for a monitor) then you can always purchase the larger monitor and upgrade your cideo card. This will allow the visual aspect to be greatly increased.
